Guga, the Brazilian player from Girona FC eSports, secures a spot among the 16 qualifiers of the Global Qualifier and will compete in the tournament that will bring together the 24 best players in the world in London.
Guga has made history for Girona FC eSports. The Brazilian player has secured qualification for the FC Pro Open after advancing through the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, held on November 6 and 7 in London.
The competition brought together 64 players from around the world, who earned their spots through a prior regional qualifying phase, including regions such as Europe, South America, and Asia, and was open to all players who wished to participate.
Out of these 64 participants, only 16 secured a ticket to the FC Pro Open, the tournament that will bring together the 24 best players in the world. These 16 qualifiers will join the eight players who had already secured their spots last season through the World Cup.
With this qualification, Guga will be part of the global elite of EA SPORTS FC and will compete in London in one of the most important tournaments on the international calendar, which also features significant cash prizes.
A historic milestone for Girona FC eSports, achieving for the first time a representative in the FC Pro Open, thus consolidating the growth of the project in the international competitive scene.
