Juan Carlos Martín will no longer be part of Girona FC's squad next season, thus putting an end to a seven-season spell at the club.

Having arrived at Montilivi in the summer of 2019, Juan Carlos has been one of the standout goalkeepers of the red-and-white project in recent years. During this period, he has played 125 official matches with Girona FC, surpassing 11,000 minutes of play, with a record of 39 clean sheets in league competition.

The goalkeeper played a significant role, especially during the seasons in the Second Division, with 22 matches in the 19/20 season, 44 matches in the 2020/21 season, and another 44 in the 2021/22 season, contributing decisively to the team's competitive performance. Additionally, he was part of the group that achieved promotion to the First Division in 2022, one of the most significant moments in the Club's recent history.

Beyond the numbers, Juan Carlos has been characterized by his commitment, professionalism, and leadership within the locker room, becoming a role model for teammates and fans. His experience and dedication have been key to the evolution of Girona FC's sports project over these years.
