New retro jersey inspired by the one from the 91-92 season

Girona FC has unveiled its new retro jersey today, inspired by the 1991/92 season. It is a piece that evokes a campaign in which the team played the promotion play-off to the Second Division A against Salamanca, coming very close to returning to a category they had not reached since the 1958/59 season.

This kit - Puma, like the one from that 91-92 season - brings back the aesthetics of years when Girona competed in the more modest categories of Spanish football, with limited resources and a small fan base. A time when there were no grand stages or promises, but there was unconditional loyalty from members and fans who supported the Club when everything was yet to be done.

With this jersey, the Club wants to turn the present into a collective thank you to all those who kept cheering when the future was uncertain. A reminder that the journey traveled is part of Girona's identity and that, as the campaign concept says, it is a past that always plays.

Girona will wear the retro jersey at the Santiago Bernabéu

As part of LaLiga's retro matchday, Girona FC will wear this kit, which includes all the official sponsors of this season, in the league match the team will play against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.

With this initiative, Girona FC wants to continue strengthening the bond with its history and with the people who have made the Club's present possible. Because before the dreams and successes, there was loyalty, resilience, and many difficult afternoons. And in all of them, there was Girona.

Former Girona FC footballer, Àlex Granell and the Club's member and content creator, Andrea Flaissier will walk the runway at MBFWMadrid wearing the retro jersey. The two of them will represent Girona in this event taking place at Madrid Fashion Week, which is part of the 2025-2026 Retro Matchday organized by LaLiga.

The new retro jersey is now available for purchase at the Club's official online store at botiga.gironafc.cat

Starting tomorrow, March 20, it will also be available at the official stores on Rambla de Girona and at the stadium.
