Successful watchparties for Barça-Girona

More than 350 fans participated in Perpinyà, Sao Paulo, Bogotà and Montevideo.

Perpinyà, Sao Paulo, Bogota and Montevideo were the setting for different watch parties organised by Girona FC and LaLiga Internacional, in a joint initiative to mark the FC Barcelona-Girona FC match. Some 350 people from bars, local centres and supporters' clubs took part and enjoyed the match.

The locations chosen for these events varied, giving fans the opportunity to experience the excitement of the match as a community.

The official Girona FC supporters' club in Perpinyà, based at the Arena Bar, exceeded all expectations with an attendance of 60 people. Prior communication on social networks, supported by LALIGA Fr, generated enthusiasm. A quiz on Girona's history rewarded the attendees' knowledge. A t-shirt raffle boosted the growth of the supporters' club from 90 to 102 members, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for the club.

In Brazil, the vibrant atmosphere of the Posto6 bar in Sao Paulo witnessed an exceptional event with more than 150 people, including 30 LaLiga guests. Yan Couto lit up the bar's social media before the event and generated a lot of public interest. The presence of LaLiga Squad influencers created content that attracted 200,000 views and 20,000 interactions. The bar, decorated in Girona style, captivated new followers, many interested in the Club's history and the current season. 

In Colombia, the event was held at McCarthy's Sports Bar, which had a Girona atmosphere. At half-time there were raffles for Girona shirts and scarves.

The Casal Català in Montevideo brought together 40 people, including members of the Casal Català, the Penya Azulgrana de Montevideo and Girona fans, consolidating the Girona community in Uruguay.

The massive participation of fans in these global events reflects the impact and appeal that the match had on an international level. The collaboration between LaLiga Internacional and Girona FC has proven to be an important way of connecting fans from all over the world with the passion for football.
