Girona FC and Olympique de Marseille have reached an agreement for the transfer of Azzedine Ounahi, who has become a new player for the Rojiblancos. The Moroccan midfielder has signed a five-year contract, until 30 June 2030.

At 25 years old, Ounahi arrives at Montilivi after a stint at Olympique de Marseille and a loan to Greek club Panathinaikos last season. Trained in French football, Ounahi signed for Olympique de Marseille in January 2023 after standing out at Angers SCO. The player made a significant leap in quality at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, where he was one of the great revelations with the Moroccan national team, which reached the tournament's semifinals. His technical skills, ball control, and offensive vision captivated fans worldwide. He has experience in European competitions with both Olympique and Panathinaikos.
