Borja Garcia has extended his contract with Girona FC for another year and will spend his eighth season at Montilivi. The playmaker from Madrid is, along with Àlex Granell, the player in the club's history who has played the most games in professional football, with a total of 233 appearances. He was also a key player in the two promotions to the First Division.

Borja García's career with Gerona has had two stages. A first one of five years, from the 2015/2016 to the 2019/2020 season. And a second, after a year at SD Huesca, which began in the summer of 2021.
