Girona FC and Athletic Club have agreed to the loan of Hugo Rincón for the 2025-2026 season. The 22-year-old right-back will strengthen the right flank with his intensity, range and attacking prowess.

Rincón was trained in the youth categories of CA Osasuna before signing for Athletic Club's cadet team in 2018. His time at CD Baskonia (2021-2022), the second reserve team of the Basque entity, marked his first contact with senior football. That same season, he began participating with Bilbao Athletic, where he eventually established himself as a starter in the following seasons, achieving promotion to Primera RFEF.

In the summer of 2024, after completing the preseason with Athletic Club, he made the leap to professional football with a loan to CD Mirandés in the Second Division, where he played a full season, gaining experience and quality minutes. In total, 44 matches, including 4 in the promotion play-offs to Primera, in which he also managed to score 3 goals.

With a contract with Athletic until 2028, the arrival of the young Navarrese represents a new commitment by the Club to young players with talent and a hunger to compete at the highest level.
