Croatian international goalkeeper Dominik Livaković arrives in Girona on loan from Fenerbahce until the end of the season.
Born in Zadar on 9 January 1995, Livaković comes to Montilivi after a solid career in European football. Trained at NK Zagreb, where he made his debut in the Croatian First League in the 2012-13 season, he defended the club's goal for four seasons before signing for Dinamo Zagreb. With the Croatian capital's team, he played nearly 300 official matches and won eleven titles, becoming a key player in both the domestic league and European competitions. In 2023, he began a new chapter at Fenerbahçe, the club he currently plays for. With the Turkish team, Livaković has played 74 matches (including 57 in the Turkish Super League, 6 in the Europa League, 6 more in the Conference League and 5 in Champions League qualifying), keeping a clean sheet on 26 occasions.
Renowned for his confidence between the sticks, his reflexes and his ability in penalty shootouts, Livaković has been instrumental in decisive moments for the Croatian national team. A full international since 2016, he was part of the team that finished runners-up at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and was one of the big names at Qatar 2022, with memorable saves that propelled Croatia to the semi-finals.
With his arrival, Girona FC strengthens its goalkeeping position with a player of proven pedigree and extensive international experience.
