Mateu Morey (Petra, Mallorca, 2 March 2000) is a right-back who has joined Girona FC from RCD Mallorca and has signed a contract until June 2028.
He came through the youth academies of Mallorca and FC Barcelona, and was part of the Barça team that won the 2017/18 UEFA Youth League. He subsequently completed his development at Borussia Dortmund, where he made his professional debut and played 32 matches for the first team. During his time in Germany, he won the 2019 German Super Cup and the 2021 German Cup.
In 2024, he returned to RCD Mallorca, where he made 38 official appearances over the following two seasons. In the 2025/26 season, he played 21 matches, 18 of them in LaLiga, and scored one goal.
A Spain youth international, Morey was part of the team that won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2017.
