Girona beat Almeria in a new demonstration of their reaction

The red and white came from 2-0 down thanks to goals from Iván Martín, Dovbyk (twice), Savio and Stuani.

Fantastic response from a Girona side who continue to compete at their best. Almería were 0-2 down in the first 24 minutes of the game, but Míchel's men turned the scoreline around and ended up beating the bottom team in the category. Three points that take the Red and Whites to 25 points and make them co-leaders of the Primera Division.

The match started in the worst possible way. With two goals from Baptistao, and one disallowed to Iván Martín for offside by Eric. Despite the bad start, Girona didn't throw in the towel and found a big prize in the final stretch of the first half. In six minutes, Girona turned the score around thanks to a goal from Iván Martín and a brace from Dovbyk.

In the second half, Almeria tried to stretch, but did not trouble Gazzaniga's goal. In the last twenty minutes of the game, Girona put the game to bed thanks to goals from Savio and Stuani to round off a magical afternoon at Montilivi in Míchel Sánchez's 100th official match as Girona FC coach.

The team will return to the competition this Friday at Montilivi with the visit of Celta.
