Girona achieved their first victory of the season with a resounding win against Las Palmas. Quique Álvarez's team reacted with character after the visitors' equalizer and ended up winning authoritatively.

Jastin opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a great curling shot from outside the box. From there, Girona controlled the match during the first half and went into the break ahead.

Las Palmas equalized just after the restart, but Girona's reaction was immediate. Fran Beltrán made it 2-1 in the 55th minute, and shortly after, Yáser Asprilla came onto the pitch to completely turn the game around.

The Colombian, who had entered the pitch in the 57th minute, scored two goals in just twelve minutes to make it 4-1 and practically seal the match in favor of Girona.

Miyashiro reduced the deficit in the final stages, but Izan González completed the rout in added time.
