Napoli beats Girona 3-2 in the last preseason match

Girona was defeated this Saturday by Napoli 3-2 in the match that concluded the preseason for the red-and-whites. The game, held at the Teofilo Patini stadium in the Italian town of Castel di Sangro, began with a clear dominance by the Serie A champions during the first thirty minutes. The team led by Antonio Conte opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a goal by Di Lorenzo, and in the fifteenth and twenty-third minutes, Kevin De Bruyne scored two more goals.

In the last quarter of an hour of the second half, Girona managed to slow down the pace of the Neapolitans, and the killer Stuani made it 3-1 on the scoreboard. Nine minutes later, the man from Tala once again showed why he is a red-and-white legend by scoring another goal.

In the second half, a more intense Girona was seen, enjoying several opportunities to equalize the score. Notably, there was the exciting debut of Vitor Reis, some very interesting minutes from Thomas Lemar, and also the return of Iván Martín after his injury.

With this preseason concluded, Michel's team now faces the start of the league championship, which will take place this coming Friday at Montilivi at 7 p.m. against Rayo Vallecano.
