Girona conquers Sánchez-Pizjuán and looks up

The Juanpe and Taty Castellanos targets allow the white-and-reds to reach 44 points and approach the noble area of classification bravely

Girona has knocked Seville off Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in a new demonstration of offensive potential and defensive strength of a team that does not have a roof. Juanpe on the start of a corner in the first half, and Castellanos taking advantage of a rapid transition to the second act, have given three gold points to a Girona that already looks up in the last six competitive days.

The first part has started with a couple of dangerous approaches from the premises. Bryan Gil has not been able to finish on a clear occasion. In the 19th minute, Nesyri was able to do so, but his finish went high. And shortly afterwards, the Girona goal has arrived. Riquelme has hung a corner on the second pole, where Juanpe appeared with a spectacular finish to open the marker. An advantage held by Paulo Gazzaniga with a massive shutdown in Bryan Gil shortly before the break.

Seville has sought a tie in the first minutes of a second time. Montiel had a good chance, but his finish went outside. And in the 55th minute, the second white-and-red goal came. Riquelme's bestial drive ended with a finish from the end to the crossbar. Rejection was hunted by Tsygankov who generously assisted Castellanos to score his fifth goal in a week. In the final stretch, Seville has sought the goal of Gazzaniga, but the mismatch of Mendilibar's and the great air defense of the Gironans have caused the three points to fly to Montilivi.

Girona's victory over Real Madrid and Sevilla in just six days, reached 44 points and looked up in an exciting final season. On Thursday at 7.30 p.m., Girona will receive Mallorca in Montilivi on a new day of competition.
