Taty Castellanos' Lazio, opponents in the 46th Costa Brava Trophy
The match against the current Italian runners-up will take place on 6 August at 8pm.
Società Sportiva Lazio, along with Taty Castellanos, will be Girona's opponents in the Costa Brava Trophy. The match, which will take place at Montilivi on Sunday 6 August at 8pm, will allow Girona fans to bid farewell to the Argentinian striker, signed from Italian side New York City FC. Despite having only spent one season at Girona FC, Taty Castellanos has been a player who has left his mark for his commitment and fight defending the red and white shirt. The striker will be remembered for scoring four goals against Real Madrid last season, in a historic afternoon that will remain engraved in the memory of the Girona fans. In total, he played 37 games and scored 14 goals.
The Roman team is a real luxury guest that this year has achieved the runner-up position in the Italian Serie A, only surpassed by Napoli. Coached by Maurizio Sarri (former coach of Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus, among others), Lazio boasts some outstanding players, including former Barcelona players Pedro, Immobile, Felipe Anderson and Luis Alberto, as well as former Girona FC player Taty Castellanos.
The Costa Brava Trophy, now in its 46th year, is the second oldest trophy in Catalonia. First held in 1970, it has been won 17 times by Girona FC.
